This guide is only for connecting to L2TP and PPTP on Windows 10, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1.

How to set up an Iran VPN on Windows 10

If you have already purchased your VPN service and want to install it on Windows 10, here is everything you need to know:

Information required before installation

Iran VPN server addresses

Once you purchase your Iran IP service (financial or non-financial), you will receive a list of servers you can connect to.
These server addresses are sent to you via email and are listed below:

Non-financial account server addresses:
Server 1: 78.157.57.92
Server 2: 78.157.57.93

Financial account server address:
78.157.57.77


Iran IP username and password

Each user receives a unique username and password.
These credentials are displayed on the website after purchase and are also sent to you via SMS and email.


How to add and connect to the Iran VPN in Windows 10

Once you have all the required information, open your Windows 10 settings and begin the setup:

  1. Right-click the Windows Start Menu, or press Win + X

  2. Click Settings

  3. Select Network & Internet

  4. Click VPN

  5. Click Add a VPN connection

  6. Open the dropdown under VPN provider

  7. Select Windows (built-in)

  8. Click inside the Connection name field

  9. Enter a name for your VPN connection (using vpn-iran.com is recommended so you can recognize it easily)

  10. Click inside the Server name or address field

  11. Type one of the server addresses: s1.vpn-iran.com or s2.vpn-iran.com

Note: Enter the server exactly as shown.
Do not include http:// and do not add a / at the end.
If Windows automatically adds these, remove them.

  1. Open the dropdown under VPN type

  2. Select the protocol you want to use. For Iran VPN, choose:
    Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP)
    or
    L2TP/IPsec with pre-shared key

Both options work for Iran IP servers provided by vpn-iran.
If one doesn’t work due to network restrictions, try the other.

Pre-shared key:
Only required if you choose L2TP/IPsec with pre-shared key
Enter: 12345678

  • Open the dropdown under Type of sign-in info

  • Select User name and password

  • Click Save

  • Your VPN connection will now appear in the VPN list. Click on it.

  • Press Connect

You can also connect or disconnect from the VPN through the Wi-Fi/Network panel in the right-side Windows menu.
